cuStateVec: A High-Performance Library for State Vector Quantum Simulators
**************************************************************************

**NVIDIA cuStateVec** is a high-performance library dedicated to operations with state vectors for expressing quantum algorithms.
cuStateVec is a component of the `NVIDIA cuQuantum SDK`_.

In addition to C APIs, cuStateVec can also be accessed in Python via `cuQuantum Python`_.

Documentation
=============

Please refer to https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuquantum/custatevec/index.html for the cuStateVec documentation.

Installation
============

The cuStateVec wheel can be installed as follows:

.. code-block:: bash

   pip install custatevec-cuXX

where XX is the CUDA major version (currently CUDA 11 & 12 are supported).

.. note::

   To use cuQuantum's Python APIs, please directly install `cuQuantum Python`_.
