# Troubleshooting

On distributions like Ubuntu, apparmor may restrict *slapd* to access some files that
*python-slapd* has generated. This situation can be solved by passing slapd in complain mode:

```bash
sudo apt install --yes apparmor-utils
sudo aa-complain /usr/sbin/slapd
